About

Kate Nordstrom is an artist and educator living in Barrington, Rhode Island with her husband and two young children. She graduated with her B.A. in Studio Art from Wake Forest University and obtained her Master’s degree in Art Education from the Ohio State University. She received her Massachusetts teaching licensure through the Teacher Preparation Program at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Her true love of art started when she was a young child. She has fond memories of sitting next to her grandfather, an architect and avid traveler, who would sketch and watercolor at a moment’s notice. She has tried to adopt this way of life. Subjects of interest in her own work continue to be the ruggedness of the New England coastline, the California landscape and architecture and scenes from wherever travel might take her. She continues to combine her passion for the arts with charitable fund-raising. Kate is proud to be an artist with Art in Giving.  Please contact Kate directly if you are interested in learning more.
